carrier II - tara-eva kuijpers wentink

Tara-Eva Kuijpers Wentink (°1996, Amsterdam, NL) has achieved her Bachelor’s in Fine arts at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam, with an exchange program at Pratt Institute NYC. She completed her Master’s in Sculpture at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp. Tara-Eva Kuijpers Wentink's work is deeply rooted in the concept of the human body. Her fascination lies in the body's diverse forms, organic structures, and their connection to nature. She sees the human body as both a vessel and a protector, containing various elements of differing shapes and colors. Despite its inherent imperfections, the body's relationship with nature and its idealized beauty are central themes in her work.

In her sculptural installations, Tara-Eva creates an immersive experience. She blends various materials, colors, and shapes to engage viewers visually and sensorially, often starting from a central sculpture that symbolizes a source of life, nourishment, and growth, resembling a plant or a heart. This source serves as the driving force behind her installations, inspiring exploration of life's vitality and the interconnectedness of all living things.
